American Standard Grade 5 bolts have three lines on top of the bolt head and are manufactured of medium carbon rods and have tempering process. Grade 5 bolts have significantly lower strength compared to grade 8 bolts and are often used in machinery industry.
Grade 5 bolts provide 120 ksi tensile strength for diameters lower than one inch and 105 ksi for diameters higher than one inch.
