American standard Grade 2 bolts have no sign on top of the bolt head and are manufactured of relatively low carbon rods, providing low rate of strength between 33 to 55 ksi of proof load and 60-70 ksi tensile.
Grade 2 bolts are used for general engineering purposes mainly with the means necessary for connection only and are not recommended for high pressure or high load purposes.
